JAK Creative and Events is Melbourne’s specialist event design agency, bringing to life creative and innovative events for the past 21 years.
Founded by Jane Klose and Kerryn Howell, the dynamic creative duo met in 1994 at RMIT in Melbourne when they enrolled to study Visual Merchandising.
A mutual love of the beautiful things in life saw them collaborate on university projects as well as winning freelance projects. Before long they were friends, housemates and soon to be business partners.
In 2000 Kerryn and Jane officially launched Theme from JAK, bringing curated event design to Melbourne. They were one of the first agencies of its kind to use specialist visual merchandising and graphic design skills to design events, from the representation of the brand through to the intricate designs to create magic.
In 2013, Theme from JAK were awarded ISES Event Supplier of the Year, recognising their commitment to exceptional event design and customer service to their clients. In 2015, it was time for change.
Theme from JAK was ready to evolve which saw the launch of
JAK Creative and Events.
Since the beginning, JAK has been known for really listening to their clients to bring event spaces to life, while delivery each event in a professional, stress-free environment. The rare dynamic and natural collaborative approach to life and career paved the way for creating a successful business

From the office using her mad tech skillz bringing your 3d renders to life, to the warehouse in production for the real deal... if you're extra lucky you might meet our Cross-Fit Wonder Woman on site during one of your events.

Charlie is the ‘The Voice’ of JAK Creative when you pick up the phone.
Navigator of all things Data and courageous in the face of tech. She is tasked with capturing the essentials, briefing the team and tracking all those important little details - dates, times, who needs their coffee strong. She keeps our Creatives operating at their peak by keeping on top of the comms and nerdier jobs in the office, and throws her own creative magic into the mix on our social media.

Jane is the ‘force of nature’ booking your suppliers, making sure everyone is there when we say they will be, and managing it all on site.
Jane keeps the machine running at optimal velocity and in tip-top condition. Logic, grace and innovation are at the core of what makes her tick. She is also really fun and a wealth of technical thought.
FACE OF JAK CREATIVE
Kerryn is the magical creator of ideas and blue-sky thinking. Her ability to understand your brand and what you want your guests to experience is next to none. She generates the creative concepts of your design and orchestrates the team to bring them to life.
Kerryn is also incredibly active in contributing to Industry and education to ensure JAK is sharing knowledge, inspiration and supporting our new Event Super Stars.
